"Adaptation- Canvas" is my newest approach to jewellery and my main interest here has been to investigate the status of craft in our culture. The pieces are 3-dimensional objects made of canvas covered wood. The technique of nailing metal sheets to a wooden base has been used throughout history in sacred and secular applied arts. The materials I use hold their own meanings; shot from my father`s shotgun, tin from heirlooms, coins precious metals and of course the canvas.
