verarbeitet, bevorzugt Claude Schmitz eine klare reduzierte Formensprache. Der junge Künstler aus Luxemburg wählt
den Kreis als Urform für die wandlungsfähigen "Rolling rings" oder für den Armschmuck "bracelet 3 discs", wo sich drei
Scheiben aus mattiertem Gold um das Handgelenk schmiegen.

Claude Schmitz and Kayo Saito, both graduates of the Royal College of Art in London, put their latest creations on show.
While Kayo Saito, a Japanese-born artist, transforms softly translucent bands and a rich abundance of flower petals into necklaces and earrings, Claude Schmitz gives preference to a lucid, reduced formal idiom. The young artist from Luxembourg has chosen the archetypal circle as the basis for his “rolling rings” or his “bracelet 3 discs”, three discs of matt-finished gold nuzzling around the wearer’s wrist.
