Die Galerie Slavik taucht in ihrer Wiener Festwochen Ausstellung in die Welt der bildenden Künste Kataloniens ein und präsentiert eine ausgewählte Schau von Unikaten, farbenprächtigen, spannenden Kunstwerken in höchster Qualität aus Barcelona.
Die bekannte Keramikkünstlerin Madola führt uns mit ihren Buchskulpturen in neue faszinierende Welten. Als leidenschaftliche Leserin entdeckt sie den Geist und die Botschaft der Wörter, die vielschichtige Emotionen und Erinnerungen in ihr wach rütteln. Aus diesem Konglomerat entstehen die spannenden Kleinskulpturen, die den Betrachter zu einer metaphorischen und haptischen Lektüre einladen.
Capdevila, der große Meister der katalanischen Schmuckkunst, hat für seine wichtigsten Lebensbegleiter 70 Engel kreiert. Für seine Schmuckskulpturen wählte er das Symbol der Engel als Dank an die Menschen, die ihn geliebt, geprägt, gelehrt und geleitet haben – alle Engel für alle.
„Von diesen Personen - Eltern, Kinder, Lehrer, Freunde und Gefährten, mit denen ich Studien, Abenteuer, Momente der Liebe, Erfahrungen und Emotionen in der Welt der Kunst, der Musik, der bildenden Künste, der Literatur usw. geteilt habe - habe ich eine lange Liste angefertigt, die ich Engel, Engel auf meinem Weg nenne“.

For its Vienna Festival exhibition the Slavik Gallery is immersing itself in the spirit of Catalonia with an exciting selection of art jewellery from Barcelona – exciting, radiantly colourful, non-serial creations of the very highest.
The book sculptures of the well-known ceramic artist Madola are an invitation to explore new and fascinating worlds. A passionate reader herself, Madola seeks out the real spirit and deeper message of words that arouse emotions and memories in her. This is the stuff of which her miniature sculptures are made – which is why they cry out to us to ‘read’ them and appreciate them with all our senses.
Capdevila, the grand master of Catalonian art jewellery, has created seventy angels for the most important people in his life. For these jewellery sculptures he chose the angel as his symbolic way of thanking all the people who have loved him, formed him, taught him and guided him – and all the angels are for every one of us as well.
“Out of all these people – parents, children, teachers, friends and companions with whom I have shared studies, adventures, moments of love, and experiences and emotions in the world of creativity, music, art or literature – I have drawn up a long list. I call these people angels – angels on my path.”
